Excellent! Indeed, we are nature in a literal sense. According to our current understanding of astrophysics, the oxygen atoms that we breathe, the calcium atoms in our bones, the iron atoms in our blood, etc., were assembled in the cores of earlier generation stars. Once these stars ran out of their hydrogen fuel, they began the long sequence of events that culminated in their explosion and the dispersal of the atoms they assembled into their host galaxy. Those dispersed atoms later gathered and formed new stars and planets, one of which we call earth. Plants, minerals, animals (including humans, from Latin humus, i.e., earth) are made of these atoms.
