Thank you dear Robin. You are very kind, generous and productive! We found a young Ferocactus uprooted in the back country so we gently planted and watered it. When we returned to care for it, it had once again been uprooted and stolen. This sacred tortoise homeland was severely burned in the Bighorn Fire. Every plant and tree that recovers in this area is vital. We have been performing restoration for the benefit of the Sonoran Desert Tortoise population, their plants and trees that they depend on and other wildlife. We reported the vandalism and theft to Catalina State Park......and Arizona State Parks Director and Deputy Director. They often DO NOT RESPOND when we reported Catalina State Park POISONING native ants that Phrynosoma horned lizard eats. They did not reveal what excessive poison they applied like a snowdrift as some entomologists stated! NO POISON ON OUR PUBLIC LANDS IN THE TOHONO O'ODHAM SACRED HOMELAND.
