Healing The Land Heals People
Healing the land heals people and resolves many problems.
Putting people to work to heal the land, creates jobs, purpose and gives back to life. When we connect with the soil, with our hands in the earth, we feel a deep rooted connection with Mother Earth. When we work together on restoration projects, collaborating, we build a truly sustainable community. We all seek relationships- with ourselves, others, with nature, and nonhumans… restoration work serves a greater way to heal.
We the People, Restore Soils and Souls, was written after witnessing developments (and over development), up-close-and-personal border wall construction, displacement of wildlife and people. This poem is a cry for advocacy- for more people to be a voice for nature.
Once a forest, now more malls, more fast food, more warehouses…when is enough enough?
We can turn pain into purpose by “Restoring Soils and Souls”.
We the People, Restore Soils and Souls We the People claim nature's, non-humans’ and our rights. We conserve and protect nature's beauty and sacred sites! Trespassers tragically negate, Species', plants', trees', water's, cactis’ fates Endangered species: jaguar, ocelot, wolves' lives denied Unconscious ways overpowered: We the People decide! We the People question authority and stop their agendas- Those who are predators must make amends. And, Incapable tyrants overreach- Cowards do not practice what they preach. Peace in hearts and souls strengthen each other and nature’s beings- With Love for all species, races and types-a great Awakening brings: Freedom from judgements as we expose propaganda and lies, Nature, non-humans and children need our voices to speak for their rights! We must Unite! And restore deathly blight! Courage cannot be silent, for bravery is not complacent or complicit! The deceitful market their products, and sell their souls with it. We think for ourselves, demand Truth and protect our freedoms! We have a choice between oppression and opportunity- For justice, We the People take responsibility: Demand All nature, non-humans and humans have rights for perpetuity! Restore humans, nonhumans, and nature! Be love in action by restoring soils and souls! Create the world’s largest U.S. International Wildlife Refuge as our legacy! We the People defund all criminality! We the People stand for Justice, Liberty and compassionate possibility! We the People Restore Soils and Souls, Original poem by Robin Motzer
