Wildlands welcomes a guest writer, Zoe, who is a Romanian living in the Black Forest (Germany), commuting between three languages: English, German, and Romanian.
That's amazing, Ryan, would love to hear about your experience. Germany is so beautiful and you're so welcome! And, many thanks to my first guest writer, Zoe Carada, who lives near the Black Forest. Cheers to Germany, love, and writers!
Funny, I hadn’t noticed Zoe wrote it, but I was surprised you were (but not actually) in Germany. It was a very long time ago, and not much to say other than it felt incredibly charming, and a memory of my friend obnoxiously hitting on a gracious waitress.
Dear Ryan, I empathize. I had a similar situation happen to me while studying throughout charming Europe. We traveled around learning about art history, design and architecture. I had a lot of attention, and we were an all female class. Admirers included Duran Duran. Lol, you mentioned in a previous post of yours that they are lame. You might want to be assured that I turned down an offer to go to Roger Taylor's birthday party in Florence, Italy. Ryan, we are both blessed to share our stories! Cheers to you, and all!
That's too funny, Robin! I'd love to go to Roger Taylor's birthday today, but I can see why you would have declined the invitation. I actually love Duran Duran - my cousin said they were lame. I agree, let's keep sharing!
Thanks- the invite was years ago while I was studying in Europe and was in Italy. I’ve been to other parties of musicians and “stars” and will call you next time. ; )
Thank you, Zoe, for a great walk through the summertime festivities in the beautiful Black Forest!
Believe me, Robin, it was such a pleasure :) Thanks for letting me tell the story.
Wonderful and welcome, Zoe! Cheers to the Forest!
You reminded me of being in Germany and Freiburg in particular, Robin. I fell in love during my short visit. Thank you for sharing with us.
