I love your writing and poetry. I live in an arboretum with a cultivated garden and a whole piece of wild land with water meadows across the river. I am constantly being sent letters from 'developers' who would love to snatch it all. The wild land full of rare birds, foxes, badgers, rabbits, hedgehogs, and the odd deer. There are snakes, orange bellied newts and salamanders, frogs and toads. Sometimes the water meadows encroach onto the land and swans swim in the garden. My Irish wolfhounds used to eat the wild plums from a tree and then spit out the seeds, causing about ten other plums trees to grow. I have grown an oak tree from an acorn. For some reason I can grow trees although I am not a gardener. In Florida, I grew avocado trees, papaya tree, mango tree, banana tree, you name it, all from seed. I was amazed by the wildlife that came. An Iguana arrived after Hurricane Andrew and had babies under my seagrape tree. It was so prehistoric looking. I have seen woodlands torn down to build motorways and railways in England, despite protestors doing vigils.... but wherever we are, you are right, we should plant a tree or shrubs, herbs, no matter how small the garden or land, for the wildlife and butterflies, dragon flies, birds, insects. Life is for helping life live without fear of losing habitat. Thank you for you, Robin.***

Thank you, Dwina, for your support, love and protection of trees, nature and for all the critters. Your home and land sounds amazing- I love edible trees! Seeds are amazing life- so exciting to grow trees from seeds!

As you know, reptiles and birds are related, are prehistoric, and it's so fascinating that they have evolved to live with us today-all are good tree planters, and dogs, too! I love that an Iguana shared her home and babies with you. You provide Good vibes of trust, love and stewardship. : )

How long can taking over the lands to pave and build at a rapid pace continue?! May developers find other work, maybe they could become forest caretakers and tree planters...One can envision and dream, at least! Mutual gratitude accepted and given back to you, Dwina, thank you for being you! XX

Forests need YOU! Each of us has a once in a lifetime opportunity to tell the U.S. Forest Service to please protect forests! See the link in the essay, and, for your convenience, I am also attaching it in comments, too! Thank you!
