Boost Your Immunity Naturally
Elderberry, animals, gardens and nature help us maintain health, joy and help us reduce disease, stress and inflammation
There are many good reasons to spend time outside: it helps us reduce disease, stress, inflammation and it can help us clear our minds and find meaning in our lives.
Take a walk, observe nature and strengthen your immunity with a refreshing mocktail during cold and flu season and all year long!
Elderberries contain a wide variety of vitamins and minerals, including: vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, folate, calcium and iron, and they are also a good source of dietary fiber, according to Healthline.
Berries are a good source of polyphenols, the plant compounds that reduce inflammation and boost immunity. Phenolic acids, anthocyanins and flavanol are powerful antioxidants that may prevent damage to our cells and they help reduce inflammation in the body.

Food and Pollinator Gardens: Habitat Restoration
The Habitat Restoration Committee creates organic food and pollinator gardens in communities, working to bring healthy food and habitats and habits to schools, parks, community gardens, and HOAs. Our Mission: We advocate for, develop, and deliver regenerative solutions that restore natureโs waterways and biodiverse systems utilizing natureโs remedies and building materials.
Please support the Habitat Restoration Committee and letโs nourish communities and each other. We welcome you, your talents, and your donations.
You can help bring exciting food and pollinator projects to โfruitionโ! If you are part of an organization that could partner with us, or are an individual who would like to volunteer or have resources to help our mission, please contact me as soon as possible.
Wildlife
The symbol of the National Audubon Society, the Great Egret made a comeback after conservationists put a stop to the slaughter and protected its colonies. These beautiful birds were nearly wiped out in the United States when its plumes were sought for use in fashion in the late 1800s.
The Wildlife Crossing Pilot Program moves forward with a wildlife crossing and fencing project on US 64. This is a major win for wildlife conservation and the protection of the critically endangered red wolves and for all wildlife in North Carolina.
Cats
Sally is keeping warm on top of a radiator cover, with a foot of snow outside her window. Her human dad, Tom, said that, โshe is doing much better and thinks that my Healing Touch for Animals sessions and my recommendation for a new cat litter helped her.โ She is very stressedโ thankfully, she finished her radiation treatments for the tumor in her nasal cavity. Wildlands featured Sally in The Gift of Presence is Restorative and is grateful to share her โgood mewsโ.
A โmeow-tiniโ bowl with height may take the edge off and make eating food easier.
My drawing of Meadow was seen by more than 25,000 people in local and international art shows. Read more about Meadow, a Sphinx hairless cat, featured in Wildlands. I was invited to sell my art in Sweden. What do you think, should I sell my art in a Swedish art gallery?
About Robin
Inspiring conservation and stewardship with experience and research-backed essays for health, well-being and connection with nature.
My goal is to help you appreciate that each of us are powerful and what we think, say and do matters. We are an interwoven web of humanity and we need to fix the problems weโve created. When we work together, we increase the strength of our homes and habitats for all beings.
My great grandfather was a farmer and a friend of President Truman. My partner and I own farmland that has been in his family since 1902. My friend Ronnie Cummins, co-founder of Organic Consumers Association and Regeneration International, encouraged me to start Regeneration Nation in 2021, to help make Americaโs soils and souls healthy.
I live out of two suitcases and live in three ecosystems. I work with local leaders and communities and create food-pollinator garden projects. I also help care for wildlife and advocate for animals and their habitats. Iโm an artist, a poet with a purpose, and I love to write about conservation-restoration topics. Occasionally, a simple, healthy whole-food plant-based recipe is shared. Simple living with a shop local, support farmers, farmerโs markets and co-ops ethic is encouraged to help heal hunger and waste. We must overcome our fears and limitations so that we may be blessings, a gift to others.
Love and prayers to the people of L.A. who have lost their homes, earthly possessions, and their sense of place. May you find peace, forgiveness and renewal! We heal ourselves with the help of Something Greater than Ourselves and each other.

Thank you for the work you do.
Definitely look to sell your art in that Swedish art gallery, Robin!
My favourite way of enjoying Nature is my 2-3 hikes here in Ottawa. The peace and quiet and encounters with wildlife are experiences I will never forget.
